the USGA Handicap System.
2) Develop rules/duties/responsibilities for adhering to the USGA Handicap

3) Comprise a formal committee that will oversee responsible for
all aspects of the USGA Handicap System, including the computation
of each member’s Handicap Index.
Howard will keep everyone posted as he works thru above. He

Driving
Range Safety Rules !!!
You
may not hit clubs on the range that
land beyond 220 yards. The sign on the range states you may not
hit drivers but some players should not hit other woods either
if they land beyond the range confines. It is the distance
the ball flies not the club used that is of consequence.
If you notice someone hitting balls beyond 220 yards - balls which
land just short of the cart path on 17, please let them know it
is unacceptable or inform a golf employee. Some players balls
have been landing close to grounds crew workers too often and
someone will get hit especially Saturday and Sunday mornings while
maintenance is preparing the course for play. Many players cannot
hit drivers that carry over 200 yards especially with the limited
flight balls we use at Grassy Hill CC. It is acceptable for those
players to use drivers or woods.
The
person who hits the shot is PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE if someone
or something gets hit (Whether during regular play on the
course, if a ball hits a car on the street or parking lot, if
a ball strikes a worker on the course or a ball you hit damages
any thing or any one) . It is your
responsibility to get the attention of a worker on the course
when you are playing and wait until they are safely out of range.
If you are noticed hitting balls beyond the limits
of the range, especially if there are people playing 17 or workers
on 17, you will be asked to leave.
Our
driving range is a limited area. Sometimes players on 10 or 18 hit
balls close to the out of bounds markers on the range and are
searching for balls within reach of your shots. Players on the
course have right of way. You must wait until it is safe to hit
balls in that situation and remember - YOU ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE
if someone gets injured by a ball you hit. ALSO, please adjust
your aim accordingly if you are hitting balls into the
18th fairway or 10th fairway.
Please
enjoy your practice but practice safely.
Thank
you for your cooperation, Glenn Dobieski .
